NOTW: OPI "Deer Valley Spice" & Essie "French Affair"

I have been so busy lately that I take these pictures and I don't get around to posting them!  I apologize.  I painted my nails this lovely combination in dedication to Canada Day - July 1st.  Yes, that was a while ago.  I originally was aiming for Red and White, however, I found that it looked a little to harsh on my nails.  So I opted for a true red (with shimmer) and a soft pastel pink. I love how it turned out.

I have on all fingers but my ring/king finger, OPI's "Deer Valley Spice".  I love this red.  It's not too blue and not too orange. It is a true bright red with shimmer and in sunlight can lean more towards a red-coral.  It goes on smoothly and took 2 sheer coats to get a nice even coverage.

On my ring finger, I have 2 coats - 1 thin and 1 thick - of Essie's "French Affair" - a pretty cream pink colour.  The first coat, though a bit streaky, quickly turned opaque with the 2nd coat.  It went on smoothly for the most part though it had quite a thick creamy consistency.  I also used OPI's "I Love The Holidays!" glitter top coat on my ring finger to better tie the colours together.  Otherwise, I simply used a clear Sally Hansen top coat on the rest of my nails.

I really liked how this turned out.  I give both polishes a 4/5 though the Essie gets a slightly lower 4 because of it's initial streaking.
